Tomorrow, We Begin Together
Beyond the Break’s community opens tomorrow—inviting real-time connection, collective insight, and shared experience.
Tomorrow is a big day.
I’m turning on the community feature for Beyond the Break, officially welcoming the incredible women who’ve found this space to begin connecting with one another—in real time and through meaningful engagement.
I truly can’t wait to see what we build together.
But before we go there, let’s talk about why community matters.
I could keep focusing solely on writing posts here—and I will keep writing. Creating these essays has been a joy, and I hope they’ve offered you moments of reflection, new perspectives, or simply food for thought as you move through your career with greater intention.
But I also know this: my voice is just one of many.
Over the past two months, I’ve reached out across my network to connect with women and hear how they’re doing. My goal was simple: meaningful conversation.
And what I found was more than just updates. These conversations were rich, energizing, and incredibly insightful. Women shared how they’re navigating the balance between life and work—or how they’re still figuring it out. They offered advice, encouragement, and support. And I got to offer the same in return.
Honestly, if there’s a job out there that’s just reconnecting with thoughtful women I’ve interacted with in the past sign me up. These conversations have filled my cup (thanks to many of you for being a part of them!).
And now I want to make that kind of connection available to more of us.
I want to take those one-on-one chats and open them up—to create space for a group of like-minded women who want to learn from and support one another as they navigate the hard, beautiful work of aligning intention, work, and life.
I want this benefit I’ve had to ripple out into something bigger.
So, tomorrow’s the day.
To start, we’ll use the community feature here on Substack because we’re already here together. In time, that may evolve into a different platform. Like any good build, we’re starting with a minimum viable product—and we’ll grow from there.
I’ll be posting conversation starters daily to help spark reflection and connection. We’ll shape this space together—just like we’re shaping our evolving relationships with work and with ourselves.
If you’re wondering how you can help, here are a few things:
Join the conversation. A community only works if people show up. I want to hear your voice.
Invite a friend (or three). If Beyond the Break resonates with you, share it with other women who might benefit. The more voices, the richer the space.
Give feedback. Let me know what’s working, what’s not, and what ideas you’d love to see implemented. Candid input will help this space thrive.
This idea started as a tiny seed, and I’ve been genuinely overwhelmed by the positive response in such a short time. Thank you for being here. Thank you for believing in this. And thank you for coming along for this next chapter of Beyond the Break.
I’ve said it before, but it bears repeating:
Your time and attention mean more than you know.
See you tomorrow.
I am a writer, mentor, and community builder. I explores the intersection of intentionality, work, and how women can find more meaning in their careers and lives. I’d love for you to give me a follow and join the conversation.
